Raphael - Bad Moon Rising 3 of 4
I'm also toying with the possibility of scanning up my planet racer books. They're written by Jim Lawson and Peter Laird and the first two books are really good and thursday I'm ordering the third and final book so I can finish the story. Please let me know if you'd be interested in reading Planet Racers.

The Turtles Invade the South Park World

You heard it right, on tonight's episode of South Park "Kyle Sucks Cartman's Balls The Trilogy" the children visit Imagination Town and among the crowd that greet the four "creators" is none other than a ninja turtle, although he has a black bandanna, there he stands at the back of the crowd. As of now it is unconfirmed whether or not they were among the characters killed by the terrorists when they attacked our imagination or if they used there superior ninja skills to escape. Only time will tell.

In other news I am still attempting to get a hold of Raphael - Bad Moon Rising 3 because as of now a scan has yet to be produced.

Tales of the TMNT #38

The book begins with a younger Donatello relaxing on a couch watching Shadow (I think, it could be April) play chess. He begins to tell us a story. It leaps back to the present with Donny talking about how everything holds a story, the then picks up a small training boken from when he was just a little turtle, and his story begins.

The turtles are seen in training with Master Splinter, practicing the crane style. Raphael leans forward and hits Leonardo in the back of the knee causing him to fall over and the training to be concluded. Splinter comments that he saw Raphael do that, then the turtles start beginning Splinter to let them go out into the sewers to play pirates with Donny's remote control boat, the HMS Terrapin Terror. Splinter says yes, but they have to stay inside the safe zone that he has set up. They agree to his terms and run into the sewer with their boat. While walking they wished they had eye-patches to make playing more fun. They get to the end of the safe zone and begin playing with the boat. Raphael throws a rock the water near it to act like a cannon was firing at them. The resulting wake from the rock knocked the boat out of radio range and Raphael suggests that they go and get it. Reluctantly the others agree and follow Raph past the boundary of the safe zone to get their boat back.

We are taken farther down the forbidden tunnels where we see a group of strange aliens holding an video device with a picture of the TCRI building.

Next we are taken to the TCRI building where we see a gigantic alligator who is known as Leatherhead talking to a Doctor X. He wishes to go out into the sewer waters to swim. He jokes that you can take the alligator out of the sewer, but you can't take the sewer out of the alligator he then dives into a hole and goes for a nice swim.

When they finally catch up to the boat, Raph decides that he wants to explore the others protest loudly saying that they didn't want to get in any more trouble. No sooner said Raphael spots what he says is a crocodile floating in the water Donny corrects him saying it is an alligator, Raph retorts calling him a big brain. Then Raph being the smart one he is begins throwing rocks at the alligator, first he hits his tail, then his back, his third shot hit Leatherhead square on the head. Leatherhead explodes out of the water in a blind rage. He knows they are out there but he can't see them. The turtles make a run for it, sticking to the shadows. Luckily for them, they stumbled into the strange aliens that were wandering around the sewers, they turtles get past them just as Leatherhead reaches them. Assuming that the aliens were the ones that disrupted his quiet swim he goes all out on them. As soon as he finished the last one he regained his human conscience and tells Doctor X that he shouldn't have left the confines of the TCRI building. Doctor X tells him that the creatures he killed were Sigmurethistes, enemies of the Ultrons and that they were no doubt trying to text the Ultrons defenses, when they ran into TCRI's best defense...him.

The turtles got away and had just got a chance to catch there breath when they ran into Splinter. He scolds and grounds them for defying his trust and going beyond the the safe zone he set up. Raphael tried to come up with an excuse but ultimately got grounded twice as long because he lied and lied badly at that.

We leave Donatello's story and we see him put up the training boken, and walk outside to stand on a strange building, and looking into the sunset.

It's Alive!!

The main page is up and running now so all site news will be updated on theTMNT Headquarters main page and the blog will be used as it was originally intended, to keep you up to date on the world of the Turtles including but not limited to, the latest comic summaries, latest episode summaries, sequel information, 07-08 TV season, new action figures and toy updates, and anything that I deem fitting of a turtle update.

To start off the updates, it looks like Peter Laird will be continuing the fourth volume of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comics, he posted on Mirage's official website

Welcome back to TMNT Volume 4!

Well, not quite yet... but soon. Volume 4 is going to return this year, but in a slightly different form -- or forms, to be more precise. There will be an inexpensive -- or possibly free -- online form, as well as a more expensive limited edition collectible printed version.
There are a few reasons for this new approach, mostly related to my work habits. For quite some time, before I took most of the last year off from doing the Vol. 4 comics, I had been getting more and more frustrated by what was required of me, with every issue, to meet the requirements of Diamond Comics, the major comics distributor. This included preparing solicitation material three months in advance for the "Diamond Previews" catalog, along with ads and such. For whatever reason, preparing these materials on this schedule, along with actually getting the book ready to go to the printer by a set deadline, was just really starting to get to me. (Don't get me wrong -- Diamond's system is a fine, reasonable, businesslike approach to distributing comics, and works very well. I just can't deal with it anymore.)
I was also getting frustrated with the time lag between finishing the book and actually seeing it appear before the eyes of the fans, on comic store shelves. It would very often be up to four or five weeks from the time we sent the materials to our printer. Again, not uncommon and completely reasonable -- it takes time to print, bind, trim and ship a comic book.
So, while I was on hiatus, I started thinking about it, and came up with a new scheme. It may turn out to be harebrained, or it might be really good... or maybe just okay. We'll see.
Here's the plan:

1.) Digital Distribution: Each issue will be posted online at the ninjaturtles.com official TMNT web site, within a few days (or maybe even hours) of being completed. Access to each issue will very likely be free to anyone with an internet connection and a decent browser, though I am looking into possibly charging a small fee... haven't figured that one out quite yet.
In addition, if feasible technically, I may try something new for TMNT -- a somewhat interactive online letters page. I'm not completely sure how or even if this will work, but I'm mulling it over.

2.) Limited-Edition Printed Distribution: Each issue will also be printed in a "collectible" limited edition, very likely somewhere between 1000 and 3000 copies. These will be available via mail order from Mirage, and will probably cost $10.00 each, shipping included. The first hundred books ordered per issue will have an original black and white TMNT head sketch drawn and signed by me on the inside front or back cover.
These print versions will almost certainly not appear at the same time that the online version is posted, but probably several weeks later.
I'm hoping that these changes will work, and will allow me to continue doing Volume 4 with the same sense of fun which has sustained the book from its inception in 2001 up until the beginning of my hiatus in June of 2006. I think it's worth a shot... and I hope you do too!

Joining the 21st Century

Welcome. Welcome to the launch point of my new site TMNT HQ. I'm still working on the actual content pages. I plan to keep you updated on all things TMNT from movies, tv, and comics. I'm currently working on creating more informative pages but I'm stuck at the moment trying to figure out how to get it to work like I want it to, but never fear it will be up in a few weeks.
